All children can register before any teeth erupt and can benefit from fissure sealants. A fissure sealant is a plastic material used to seal the grooves in the biting surface of the back teeth. We usually seal the permanent back teeth in children and this helps protect teeth from tooth decay.

We can also make custom made gum shields if your child plays a contact sport. If your child has crowded or protruded teeth we will be happy to refer you to an orthodontist for specialist dental treatment if necessary. All parents and guardians are advised to ensure that young children in their care are taken to see a dentist as soon as their first teeth come through, and before their first birthday.
